How we can help
AAC Device Prescription
At Rainbow speech Pathology our therapists are highly knowledgeable and experienced in the use and prescription of AAC.
We can provide advice and support to people with complex communication needs, as well as families, carers, education staff and support workers. We help you to access a range of communication devices and systems for to hire and trial, including high-tech systems such as eye-gaze devices, and low-tech systems such as PODD communication books. Our therapists can assess and make recommendations based on the needs of each individual.
How we can help
Rainbow Speech Pathology offers all our services via telehealth.
We see a range of adults and children both in Brisbane and remote regional areas via Zoom and Microsoft teams to deliver speech therapy to clients right into the comfort of their own home. Benefits of Telehealth are:
- It’s evidence based to be just as effective as face to face therapy
- No travel which is great for our regional and remote clients
- You can access speech pathology from anywhere in Australia or overseas
- It’s safer if you’re mildly unwell or immunocompromised
- It’s more convenient for families with multiple children
- It’s great opportunity for parent education and goal setting
- Some clients are more engaged with our range of online games and activities than in face to face sessions
- You don’t have to get out of your PJs

How to book your appointment
Rainbow Speech Pathology is a clinic based service in shop 4-6/ 16 Brighton road Sandgate down the Sandgate Arcade. We understand that people communicate best in places where they are most comfortable. We can visit clients at home, school and kindergarten within a 10km radius of Sandgate, along with telehealth services via Zoom and Microsoft teams to any location.
